My brother has a girlfriend;
He thinks she’s pretty and cool.
She has him all tied up;
He lives by her rule.
I try to warn him that
This girl’s out to make a fool.
He won’t listen; on his eyes,
She has pulled the wool.
I think it’s too late…
He thinks it’s so great…
He is committed!!!
A friend of mine got chained up
Upon getting married.
Fix the lawn, the house, the car—
Looks to me like he’s chore-buried!
I was at the funeral, and
To hear those vows was scary!
To say, “I do,” I’ll find hard—
This type of love-thing made me wary!
I know it’s too late…
He thought it was great…
He is committed!!!
Beautiful women are all around!
In and out of love, I’ve slipped!
But each time, my heart’s been ‘broken’—
From love’s glass I have not sipped.
But I hope to find someone special,
And over this lady I’ll flip.
Thus maybe someday pretty soon,
I could be in love’s grip!
It may be too late…
It may be so great…
To be committed!!!
